PAMCo is based on a continuous survey which takes place 12 months of the year, 7 days a week. Up to two individuals aged 15 plus from randomly selected addresses are invited to take part either by online or paper self-completion questionnaire. From October 2021 the option of an in-home interview is also being offered again, though this will be a minority of interviews

Participants are asked about their readership of a list of published media and lifestyle & classification questions, as well as their online behaviour and information about themselves
